HVAC Mechanic

Switchcraft is currently looking for a HVAC Mechanic with experience to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and evaluates the condition of our heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical systems. Candidate must have a strong electrical background, be EPA Refrigerent Certiified. Plumbing and general maintenance skills would be a plus.
Requires a minimum of
7-10 years experience.
ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are conveniently located on the northwest side of Chicago and currently have an opening for an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for all aspects of accounts payable. Duties include verification and reconciliation, invoices, and expense reports, prioritizes payments by preparing ACH batches, wire transfer documentation, and check runs.

The accounting Assistant is responsible for resolving issues between accounting and suppliers responds to vendor inquires by researching and correcting discrepancies.

Daily duties include data entry of invoices for payments after 3-way match/verification, scanning, paid documents into ERP system, generating ACH payment journal, gaining documentation to supporting daily payment journal, filing.

Other responsibilities are preparing wire transfers for required sign offs, validating and entering expense reports, preparing accrual journal entries at month end.

Accounting Assistant resolves issues with outside suppliers. Accounting Assistant will reconcile issues internally as necessary, to insure proper sign offs and meeting our policies and procedures. There is the annual preparation of 1099’s and 1096 and any other special projects.

Associates degree in Accounting working knowledge of ERP computer systems, strong work ethic. Proficient with Microsoft Excel / Word

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are conveniently located on the northwest side of Chicago.

Switchcraft is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of manual, semi-automatic and fully automated production equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. Candidate must have the ability to set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Position requires both mechanical aptitude and electrical experience. We are looking for an individual who will be a self starter and be able to work with minimal supervision and adhere to safety rules.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience
Requires knowledge and use of basic measuring equipment such as rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Requires electrical experience.
Requires machine shop skills
Requires ability to read technical and electrical drawings.

Mold Machine Set-up

Conxall is currently seeking for a Mold Machine Set-up will work with the mold repair supervisor on moving molds. This person will set-up, operate 10 molding machines, and adjust injection mold machines used to mold plastic materials to specified shape.

Industrial Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly organized Industrial Engineer that works with the maintenance, engineering, production, and warehousing departments to provide technical expertise, problem solving, work instructions and engineering solutions to the production department to improve product quality.

Responsibilities
Supports the design engineering department by applying production perspective to designs, participating in development activities, coordinating samples, and researching alternative materials and assembly processes for new products.
Researches, tests, qualifies and implements new factory equipment, particularly for over-molding, cable cutting, and crimping equipment.
Determines the labor content of each product and populates the enterprise system with process routings.
Conducts statistical studies of wire pulling, crimping, and assembly processes and must map out strategies for improvement of these processes.
Conducts experiments on various methods of handling and applying epoxy materials into cable assembly products.
Looks for ways to drive down product cost and reduce lead time to the customer.

Requirements:
B.S. degree in engineering, science or technical subject matter preferred. Associates degree or equivalent work experience in technical subject matter is required.
Two years experience in technical industry supporting production activities is required.
Experience in designing, supporting, or fabricating cable assemblies preferred.
Experience in injection molding or plastic over-molding preferred.
Outstanding oral and written communications skills in English is required.
Bilingual communication in English and Spanish is preferred.
Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

We are currently seeking a Southeastern Regional Sales Manager based in our corporate office in Chicago to manage the Southeastern Region sales activities directly with customers, sales representatives and distributors

Responsibilities

Assembler

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. We currently have an opening for assemblers at our Chicago facility.

We are currently looking for assemblers to work second shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) at our Chicago location. Assemblers work with table top presses and hand tools to assemble small electronic components. Candidates must be able to follow instructions given by group leaders or supervisor and be able to work independently in a team environment Job requires basic reading and math skills.

Maintenance Electrician

We are conveniently located on the northwest side of Chicago.

Switchcraft is currently looking for a Maintenance Electrician. This position is responsible for Troubleshoot, repair, replace and install various control devices including but not limited to sensors, actuators, transformers, circuit breakers, motors, conduit, switches, and other control mechanisms, using test equipment and meters such as VOM, megger, amp probe and PC.
Candidate must have the ability to diagnose problems, identify parts, plan and execute electrical repairs and installations, and learn proper equipment operation by reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, programs/ladder logic and machinery manuals. Position requires both electrical aptitude and mechanical experience.

We are looking for an individual who will be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision and adhere to safety rules.
A 2-year associate degree in electronics technology, or certificate in Electro-Mechanical Industrial Maintenance or similar programs. At least 5 years’ experience as an electrical technician in manufacturing environment. New Product Development Engineer

Switchcraft, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of harsh environment circular connectors, cable assemblies and interconnect solutions. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, industrial controls, transportation and homeland security. We are located on the Northwest side of Chicago and currently have an opening for a New Product Development Engineer. This candidate will work in collaboration with Marketing and Engineering Management for New Product conceptualization. The candidate must be able to work on several projects at one time through changing priorities and complete assigned projects from concept to production release. The candidate will estimates costs for materials and labor and investigation of new processes and materials. This candidate will also be producing and maintaining accurate project plans, CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies, design Iterations and design Reviews – Release to Tooling, Release to Manufacturing. Specification documents, design analysis (tolerance, FEA, FMEA) Test documentation, product cost estimates, and Bills of Material. Coordinates engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing and making recommendations for parts, materials and tooling. This candidate must be able to provide technical support to Sales/Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Purchasing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
• Entry level to 5 years work experience.
• Design experience with connector and cable products is a plus.
• Mechanical Design Skills.
• Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering skills is a plus.
• Knowledge of plastic and metal materials and their uses/applications.
• Understanding of injection molded plastic parts and metal screw machine parts.
• Experience with 3-D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred) and FEA.
• Understanding of mechanical drawing requirements and proper application of dimensional and tolerance information.
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Good project management skills
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
