Sustaining Engineer

We are seeking an individual for the Sustaining Engineering Group. Job responsibilities for this entry level position include; Production support, Customer Service support, Engineering Change Order generation and implementation, quoting and releasing new products based on the existing product line. BSME, BSEE or BSET required. Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, plastic injection molding, sheet metal, screw machine and die cast parts is a plus. Experience with SolidWorks and MS Office suite software is required.
MOLD MAKER

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are located on the northwest side of Chicago and currently have an opening for Mold Makers. Responsibilities include building molds and fixtures as determined by engineering, quality and production standards. Must have ability to work from blueprints, sketches, models, or other descriptions to determine which machines need to be used to fabricate parts. Must be proficient in the set up and operation of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, EDM, grinders, etc. In addition, the Mold Maker must be experienced in working with precision and close tolerance molds and have experience with troubleshooting molds.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are conveniently located on the northwest side of Chicago.
Switchcraft is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of manual, semi-automatic and fully automated production equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. Candidate must have the ability to set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Position requires both mechanical aptitude and electrical experience. We are looking for an individual who will be a self starter and be able to work with minimal supervision and adhere to safety rules.

Minimum of 5 years experience
Requires knowledge and use of basic measuring equipment such as rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Requires electrical experience.
Requires machine shop skills
Requires ability to read technical and electrical drawings.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are conveniently located on the northwest side of Chicago and currently have an opening for an Accounting Assistant.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all aspects of accounts payable. Duties include verification and reconciliation of vouchers, invoices, and expense reports, prioritizing prioritizes payments by preparing ACH batches, wire transfer documentation, and check runs. Other responsibilities include resolving issues between accounting and suppliers and responds to vendor inquires by researching and correcting discrepancies. Requires accurate coding of MRO purchases and maintaining logs and documents as well as preparing various journal entries at month end and completing and distributing Forms 1096 and 1099 annually.

Requirements

•Associates degree in Accounting


•Working knowledge of ERP computer systems


•Strong work ethics, team player


•Proficient with Microsoft Excel / Word


•Knowledge of sales and use tax laws
